Crispy Roasted Brussels Sprouts Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Brussels Sprouts

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the stems off the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow outer leaves. Cut them in half lengthwise.

Step 2: Season the Sprouts

  1. In a bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Ensure they are evenly coated for maximum flavor.

Step 3: Roast to Perfection

  1. Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer, cut side down.
  2. Roast for 20-25 minutes until they are crispy and golden brown on the edges.

Step 4: Add Parmesan (Optional)

  1. In the last 5 minutes of roasting, sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the sprouts for a cheesy finish.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Transfer to a serving platter and enjoy as a delicious side dish!
