
Baked Beans Recipe
Classic Baked Beans Recipe 🍲
Ingredients:
- 2 cups dried navy beans (or 4 cups canned beans, rinsed and drained)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 cups vegetable broth (or water)

Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Beans (Skip if Using Canned)
- Rinse the dried beans and soak them in water overnight.
- Drain and rinse the soaked beans. Place them in a pot with enough water to cover by at least an inch.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 45-60 minutes until tender. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: Make the Sauce
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together ketchup, molasses, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Step 3: Assemble and Bake
- In a baking dish, mix the cooked beans and chopped onions with the sauce.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and stir until everything is well combined.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil, stir, and bake uncovered for an additional 20-30 minutes until the sauce thickens and turns rich and caramelized.

Step 4: Serve
